Content Contribution, Moderation and Approval Policy (CMAP)
Content for the website is contributed by the branches of the Commission (Administrative, Legal and Investigation wings) through the website's administration panel. Each item is checked for accuracy, language and format by the Web Information Manager and approved by the officer authorised by the Secretary of the Commission before it is published. Orders, notices and reports are published only in the form approved by the competent authority.
Content Archival Policy (CAP)
Each item of content is given a validity period when it is published. Time-bound content such as notices, tenders and events is removed from the main pages after it expires and is kept in the archive. Permanent content such as acts, rules, annual reports and orders of the Commission remains available. Archived content is reviewed every year.
Content Review Policy (CRP)
- Home page, notices and case status information: reviewed whenever there is a change, and at least weekly.
- About us, members, staff directory and contact details: reviewed every three months, and immediately on any change.
- Acts, rules, forms, reports and policies: reviewed every six months.
- Broken links and errors reported by users are corrected as soon as possible.
Website Monitoring Plan
The website is monitored regularly for performance, broken links, security, compatibility with common browsers and devices, and accessibility. Feedback from visitors is reviewed and acted upon. The results are used to improve the website.
Contingency Management Plan
The website and its data are backed up regularly. In case of defacement, data corruption, hacking or a hardware failure, the website will be taken offline, restored from the latest clean backup and brought back online as quickly as possible, with the help of the hosting agency where needed. Security incidents are reported to the competent authority as required.
Security Policy
The website is hosted with security controls in place. Users must not try to gain unauthorised access to the website, disrupt its working, upload harmful content, or misuse the online complaint system. Any such attempt may be reported to law enforcement agencies under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and other applicable laws.
